Community Outreach

As an organization, Opera San José strives to help the continued enrichment of our resident artists and our San Jose and Silicon Valley community. Opera San José programs multiple outreach opportunities yearly; opera aria events in local libraries, presences at the Children’s Discovery Museum for Children Discovery Day, Silicon Valley pride, and much more. In the past, we have also run outreach programs, catering to the elementary and middle schools in the area with programs such as What is Opera?, Hansel & Gretel, and Little Red Riding Hood. Our largest outreach event is our invited dress rehearsals, paused for the pandemic but now returning as we slowly grow our final dress rehearsal audiences with school-aged children in the area.
