Opera San José Audition Notice

 Opera San José is currently casting Artists in Residence and Guest Artists for the 2026–2027 season. Singers are encouraged to apply for all role types, and may be invited for in-person auditions, held in both San José and New York:

New York, NY
Tuesday, December 16, 2025 (10:30am – 5:30pm)

Thursday, December 18, 2025 (10:30am – 5:30pm)
Submissions due by Friday, November 28, 2025, 5:00PM Pacific Time

Applicants are required to submit a résumé, headshot, and one recording. If invited for an in-person audition, please come prepared with five arias with at least two languages represented. A pianist will be provided.

ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE
Casting for all voice types, for combination of lead, featured, and supporting roles

Join Opera San José for two (or more) mainstage productions in the 2025–26 season and become part of the company’s rich Artist in Residence legacy. Artists in Residence earn a regular salary, are provided housing, and are eligible for benefits (pending show assignments meeting eligibility requirements).

GUEST ARTISTS
Casting for lead, featured, and supporting roles throughout the season.

 Guest Artists are those seeking to be engaged for one production only.
