The Municipal Rose Garden

Enjoy live music under the summer sky at Opera in the Rose Garden, a free outdoor concert on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at San José’s historic Municipal Rose Garden. Presented by Opera San José in partnership with Applied Materials and the San José Sports Authority as part of the SJ26 FIFA World Cup celebrations, this special evening highlights Silicon Valley as a premier global destination for both world-class sports and world-class art. Under the direction of OSJ Music Director and conductor Joseph Marcheso, Opera San José singers, with the acclaimed Opera San José Orchestra, will perform beloved selections from timeless masterpieces such as Die Fledermaus, Pagliacci, Rigoletto, Carmen, and The Pearl Fishers. Guests of all ages are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and picnics to enjoy the performance in “America’s Best Rose Garden,” where local vendors will be on-site and complimentary Kona Ice will be provided for all attendees.

Join Us on the Lawn! Secure your spot under the stars! General Admission grants you full access to the Municipal Rose Garden. Pre-register for a complimentary Kona Ice. Bring blankets, chairs, and a picnic for an unforgettable evening.
