Thien-An Truong is a Vietnamese-American bass-baritone and conductor pursuing a B.M. in Vocal Performance at San José State University. A dynamic performer, his recent operatic roles include Ophémon in L’amant anonyme and the upcoming Wang Yue in Stuck Elevator, both with SJSU Opera Theatre. He has also made his European debut this past summer as the bass soloist in Haydn’s Missa in tempore belli with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the San Jose State Choraliers. His accolades include winning the 2025 San Jose Women’s Club Vocal Competition and conducting in the National American Choral Directors Conference Undergraduate Masterclass. Thien-An is passionate about opera, choral-orchestral works, and art song.
