Stanislav Izmailov, violinist. Born in Leningrad. He began to study the violin at the age of five, and at the age of thirteen he won 1st prize at the International Brother and Sister Competition. In 2000 he graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov College in violin (class of Elena Zaitseva). The same year, he entered the St Petersburg State Conservatoire (class of Professor Antonina Kazarina). During his studies, he appeared at numerous international festivals.
From 2006 to 2009 Stanislav Izmailov was Concertmaster of the Symphony Orchestra of the State Academic Cappella in St Petersburg, often appearing there as a soloist. In the spring of 2009 following a competitive audition he was admitted to the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra directed by Valery Gergiev as Associate Concertmaster and soloist. Since December 2011 he has been a Concertmaster of the Mariinsky Orchestra. During his work at the Mariinsky Theater, Stanislav soloed with an Mariinsky orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev and also together with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra (Bavaria).
Since 2018, Stanislav has been the Concertmaster of the Bolshoi Theater Orchestra , Moscow. During his work at the Bolshoi Theater, Stanislav was awarded the UNESCO (National Commission of the Republic of Moldova for UNESCO) Diploma with honors, and also became a laureate of the Bolshoi Theater Board of Trustees award for outstanding creative progress in the 245th (2020-2021) theater season, Moscow.
As of 2024, Stanislav has been a permanent faculty member at the prestigious annual Northern Lights music festival in North Minnesota, where he leads the orchestra as concertmaster and offers master
classes to participating musicians.
