Rodrigo Gonzalez Jacob is an Argentine conductor specializing in orchestral and ballet repertoire. In Argentina, he was Chief Conductor of the Academic Orchestra of the National University of the Arts (UNA) and Associate Conductor of the National Symphonic Band for the
Blind. He has frequent engagements with the National Youth Symphony Orchestra in Argentina and has guest conducted at the Youth Orchestra of the Americas, Isla Verde Bronces International Festival, and the Philharmonic Festival.
Since moving to the U.S. in 2022, he has worked with the Oregon Symphony, Eugene Opera, Eugene Symphony, Eugene Ballet, Anchorage Symphony, Opera San José, Orchestra Next, Opera in Williamsburg, Alabama Symphony, and Oregon Mozart Players. He currently serves as Assistant Conductor of Eugene Ballet and Music Director of the Promusica Foundation.
His training includes work with the National Symphony Orchestra of Argentina, Teatro Colón, and the Federal Conducting Fellowship. He holds degrees in piano and viola performance, a postgraduate conducting degree from UNA, and a Master of Music from the University of Oregon. In 2026–2027, he joins Opera San José as Resident Conductor.
