Rabbi Cantor Dr. Linda Bernstein is thrilled to make her Opera San José debut as the Rabbi in Fiddler on the Roof—a rabbi playing a rabbi! She also appeared in Fiddler as Fruma Sarah and Shaindel, the tailor’s mother, with Peninsula Center Stage.
Linda trained in musical theater at Studio ACT in San Francisco and Notre Dame de Namur University. With her husband, Gary, she gives Broadway concerts as “The Love Notes” at senior communities throughout the Bay Area. Offstage, Linda is a rabbi, cantor, Doctor of Pharmacy, Clinical Professor, and award-winning multimedia producer, writer, and host, with hundreds of publications, TV and radio broadcasts to her credit.
