Ian is thrilled to be joining Opera San Jose as Associate Choreographer for ‘Fiddler on the Roof’, after playing ‘Avram’ and working as the Dance Captain for Austin Opera’s version of this production. Ian has staged and choreographed works for Ballet Austin and their apprentice company Ballet Austin TWO, for contemporary company Performa/Dance, and for multiple pre-professional programs in Texas. He has performed in and worked as a Dance Captain for
several productions at ZACH Theater in Austin. Ian enjoyed a 17-year career as a Company Dancer with Ballet Austin, retiring in 2025. He is currently Head of the Dance Department for The Studio ATX & The Austin Performing Arts Conservatory at The J2 Method; a pre-professional training ground for aspiring musical theatre artists.
