Abigail Bush, a native of Los Angeles, made the Bay Area her home after earning her Master of Music degree from The San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2022, where she studied with Rhoslyn Jones. Thrilled to be returning to Opera San José, recent engagements include Diana in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld with Pocket Opera, covering the role of the Stepmother in Opera San Jose’s production of Cinderella by Alma Deutscher, which was conducted by the composer herself, and Miss Silverpeal in Mozart’s The Impresario. Other previous roles include performances as Papagena in Mozart’s The Magic Flute, Clara Johnson in Adam Guettel’s The Light in the Piazza, and Edith in Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance. Beyond the stage, Abigail finds joy in exploring parks and spending time with her beloved pet bunny.
