Choreographer

Michelle Klaers D’Alo makes her company debut in the 2017-18 season, serving as choreographer for Puccini’s La rondine. Ms. D’Alo began her dance training in Southern California studying all dance styles including tap, jazz and ballet. She attended both the San Francisco Ballet School and American Ballet Theater ABT ® School.

She received her B.A. in Dance from University of California, Irvine in 2002 under the William J. Gillespie Scholarship, while dancing various repetoire for companies such as Inland Pacific Ballet, Redlands Festival Ballet and Inland Dance Theater.

In 2004, she joined the original cast of Disney’s Snow White An Enchanting Musical directed by Eric Shaeffer and choreographed by Karma Camp, where she performed various swing roles and helped originate the role of the “Bluebird”. She then went on to Tokyo Disney Sea to perform in their Broadway review show Encore by Broadway choreographer Patti Colombo. She continued to perform in several main stage performances and special events for Disney for many years. 

Ms. D’Alo has taught and choreographed in both Southern California and the Bay Area. She joined the faculty of Silicon Valley Ballet (formerly Ballet San Jose) and now reopened as The New Ballet School, teaching the ABT ® American Ballet Theater Curriculum and became an ABT ® Affiliate exam teacher in March of 2016.
