STRIKE UP THE BAND

Opera San José is joining forces with Symphony Silicon Valley to present a FREE outdoor musical extravaganza to celebrate Labor Day weekend, “Strike Up the Band!” 

Taking place on the beautiful Tower Lawn at San Jose State University, this program will feature selections from “Carmen,” “The Magic Flute,” “La bohème,” and much more. Don’t miss your chance to catch a brilliant line-up of artists and musicians as we welcome live music back to our community. 

A limited number of chairs and water bottles will be available. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair or blanket, as well as a picnic dinner!

LOCATION

This event will be located on the iconic Tower Lawn at San Jose State University, San Fernando and 4th Streets in downtown San Jose.

Main Entrance at 4th Street and San Fernando Street near Martin Luther King Library. Parking is available in nearby San Jose City garages.

HEALTH & SAFETY

This is a beautiful large outdoor environment, but we do ask that attendees be vaccinated and/or wear masks when not eating or drinking.
