Amy Goymerac returns in the 2019-20 season, appearing as the Dew Fairy in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and covering the role of Adele in Strauss’s Die Fledermaus. Roles performed recently include the role of Charlotte in the concert premiere of Kirke Mechem’s newest opera, Pride and Prejudice, with Redwood Symphony, Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute with Opera San Luis Obispo, and Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro with Center Stage Opera in Southern California. Other engagements featured Ms. Goymerac as Georgette in OSJ’s production of Puccini’s La rondine, Annina in Verdi’s La traviata at Independent Opera Company, Parthénis in La belle Hélène with Pocket Opera of San Francisco and Gertie Cummings in Oklahoma! at Opera San Luis Obispo. Upcoming appearances will feature her San Luis Obispo Symphony debut in February of 2020 where she will perform both Mahler’s Symphony No. 4 and Samuel Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 under the baton of Andrew Sewell.
Ms. Goymerac earned her Master of Music degree in 2015 from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and two minors in Music and Religious Studies from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. There she was awarded the Janet Lee Memorial Scholarship for her dedication and work within the Music Department.
Ms. Goymerac is a Professor of Voice with the Music Department at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California in addition to running her private home studio.
