What is Opera?

What is Opera? is an an interactive lecture/demonstration featuring a soprano, mezzo-soprano, tenor and baritone with piano accompaniment that appear in costume and present many aspects of opera, both in spoken description and actual performance.  Excerpts from several operas covering at least four languages are presented in this forty-five minute session. Perfect for grades 4-12, question and answer interaction with the audience is integral to the presentation.
