Silas ElashUpcoming performances for SILAS ELASH include the role of Dr. Bartolo in West Bay Opera’s production of The Marriage of Figaro in Fall 2016.

While a member of the resident company, Mr. Elash performed more than 25 roles, including Dr. Bartolo (Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro), Zuniga (Bizet’s Carmen), the Doctor (Previn’s A Streetcar Named Desire,) Sparafucile and Monterone (Verdi’s Rigoletto), Haly (Rossini’s The Italian Girl in Algiers), the Cabman (Weiser’s Where Angels Fear to Tread), and Sarastro (Mozart’s The Magic Flute.)

Other roles performed during his residency include Pistola (Verdi’s Falstaff), the Commissioner in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, the Commendatore in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Nourabad (Bizet’s The Pearl Fishers), Frank (Strauss’ Die Fledermaus), Ferrando (Verdi’s Il trovatore), the Voice of Nettuno (Mozart’s Idomeneo), Dr. Grenville (Verdi’s La traviata), Méphistophélès (Gounod’s Faust), Scarpia (Puccini’s Tosca), Bartolo (Rossini’s The Barber of Seville), Colline (Puccini’s La bohème), Count Des Grieux (Massenet’s Manon), Don Magnifico (Rossini’s La Cenerentola), and Rambaldo (Puccini’s La rondine).

Roles performed with other companies include Dr. Bartolo (The Marriage of Figaro) with Stockton Opera, Colline (La bohème), Escamillo (Carmen), and Alfio (Cavalleria rusticana) with the Opera Institute of California. On the concert stage, he has performed The Messiah with the Auburn Symphony and The Stockton Chorale. Awards received include the Wagner Society Award at the Fourth Annual Irene Dalis Vocal Competition held in May 2010.
