2014 – 2017
Engagements for KIRK DOUGHERTY during the 2016-17 season included soloist in Rossini’s Stabat Mater with both the Sacramento Choral Society and Wichita Grand Opera, the role of the Duke in Verdi’s Rigoletto with Opera Las Vegas, Tamino in a concert version of The Magic Flute with Glacier Symphony, Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly with Wichita Grand Opera and Nikolaus Sprink in Puts and Campbell’s Silent Night with Piedmont Opera. Upcoming performances include Rinuccio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi/Buoso’s Ghost in Spring 2018 with Opera Delaware.
During his residency with OSJ, Mr. Dougherty appeared as Rodolfo (Puccini’s La bohème), Nikolaus Sprink (Puts and Campbell’s Silent Night), Almaviva (Rossini’s The Barber of Seville), Edgardo (Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor), Cavaradossi (Puccini’s Tosca), Don José (Bizet’s Carmen), and Mitch (Previn’s A Streetcar Named Desire). Mr. Dougherty joined the resident ensemble during the 2014-15 season, appearing as the Duke (Verdi’s Rigoletto), Tamino (Mozart’s The Magic Flute), and as Philip in the world premiere of Weiser’s Where Angels Fear to Tread.
Recent engagements for Mr. Dougherty include Rodolfo (La bohème) for Wichita Grand Opera and the Duke (Rigoletto) with Opera Las Vegas.
