Jo Vincent Parks,
Baritone

Jo Vincent Parks makes his
company debut as Johann (Werther) during the 2007 - 2008 season.
Mr. Parks has performed with many Bay Area opera companies, including
leading roles in Bay Shore Lyric Opera's productions of La bohème,
Le nozze di Figaro and La traviata, and Berkeley Opera's
Tales of Hoffman, Macbeth, Falstaff, Gianni Schicchi and Otello.
For San Francisco Lyric Opera, Mr. Parks appeared as Tonio (Pagliacci)
and Scarpia (Tosca). Other recent performances of note include
the role of Gloster Hemmings (The Mother Of Us All) for San
Francisco Opera, Valentine (Faust) for Livermore Valley Opera and
the title role in Berkeley Opera's production of Eugene Onegin.
For Oakland Opera Theatre, Mr. Parks appeared in the title role of
Anthony Davis' X: The Life And Times of Malcom X and Tom Dean's
contemporary opera White Darkness.
Originally from Washington
D.C., Mr. Parks moved to the Bay Area in 1987 where he received his
masters degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. |
