Johann Schram Reed
Johann Schram Reed makes his company debut during the 2013-14 season, appearing as Pistol in Verdi’s Falstaff. Mr. Reed was most recently seen as Mr. Ford in Pacific Opera Theater’s 2013 production of The Merry Wives of Windsor. Other roles in his repertoire include Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro), Sarastro (The Magic Flute), Dr. Dulcamara (L’elisir d’amore) and Mr. Peachum (The Threepenny Opera).
In the summer of 2012, Mr. Schram Reed took part in the Arias in Motion performance project with OperaWorks Young Artist Program. Other recently performed roles include The Devil in Stravinsky’s L’Histoire de Soldat and Dr. Grenvil in La traviata, where he performed under the baton of noted conductor Michael Morgan with Festival Opera of Walnut Creek, CA. Mr. Schram Reed is currently studying at The University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music, and is set to complete his Bachelor’s degree in the Spring of 2014.
