Chris Coyne makes his company debut during the 2013-14 season, appearing as Bardolfo in Verdi’s Falstaff. Mr. Coyne most recently performed the role of Lurcanio in Handel’s Ariodante, Jean in the world premiere of Debussy’s Le Diable Dans le Beffroi, as well as Ferrando in Mozart’s Così fan tutte. Other credits include Barinkay in Der Zigeunerbaron, Colin in Le Devin du Village, and Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus. Future engagements include Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville with the San Francisco Opera outreach program.
Mr. Coyne is a laureate of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs International Competition, and was invited for a workstudy at both the Opera Studio Nederlands and the Bayerische Staatsoper.
