Tania Mandzy Inala
Tania Mandzy Inala returns during the 2013-14 season, appearing as Zerlina in Don Giovanni. Ms. Mandzy Inala made her company debut last season as the Monitress in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. Recent performances for Ms. Mandzy Inala include the title role in Orlando and Stéphano (Roméo et Juliette) with Pocket Opera. For Ohio Light Opera, she appeared as Lazuli (L’étoile), Estrelda (El Capitan), the title role in Iolanthe, Lady Angela (Patience) and Orestes (La Belle Hélène), to name just a few. In Europe, she was Rosina (The Barber of Seville) for the Minotaur Opera Theatre of London, and Nancy (Albert Herring) for the British Youth Opera. Roles performed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama include Mother Bayard and Cousin Ermengarde (The Long Christmas Dinner), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), and Clairon (Capriccio).
On the concert stage, Tania was recently a featured soloist in Boston Ballet’s production of Midsummer Night’s Dream, Nashua and Lexington Symphony’s performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 as well as numerous other galas and concerts across the United States. For the Pasadena Master Chorale, she appeared as soloist in Monteverdi’s Magnificat and Handel’s Messiah. Awards and accolades include finalist in the Charles A. Lynam Vocal and Irma Cooper Opera Columbus competitions, and First Prize in the Boston NATS and Susan Longfield Competitions. She received her MM from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and a BA in History and Literature from Harvard University.
