Don’t miss the opening night reception for Opera San José’s new General Director, Larry Hancock and new Music Director/Principal Conductor, Joseph Marcheso, guest conductor and members of the cast following the opening performance of each 2014-15 production. The reception takes place in the elegant Palm Room of the Sainte Claire Hotel immediately next door to the California Theatre, and includes savories and dessert, prosecco, red and white wine, coffee or tea.

Irene Dalis Vocal Competition

To top off the 31st Season, Opera San José presents the Ninth Annual Irene Dalis Vocal Competition. Ten winners from the West Coast Auditions for Singers will compete with two arias each for $50,000 in cash prizes. Be there to cast your vote for the audience favorite!
