(2001 - 2004)

During the summer of 2006, SANDRA RUBALCAVA (2001 - 2004) traveled to Thailand to perform the role of Despina (Così fan tutte) with Bangkok Opera. Ms. Rubalcava returned to Opera San Josè during the 2005 - 2006 season to perform the roles of Abigail Williams (The Crucible),  Oscar (A Masked Ball), Musetta (La bohème) and Zerlina (Don Giovanni). During the 2004 - 2005 inaugural season in the California Theatre, Ms. Rubalcava returned as a guest artist to perform the roles of Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) and Frasquita (Carmen). In 2004, Ms. Rubalcava was named a finalist in the International Gerda Lissner Competition.

Other recent performances included the role of Natoya (POIA) for the Lewis and Clark Society in June 2005 and Ellen in Billing Opera's world premiere of Alva Henderson's Nosferatu.
