During the 2010 - 2011 season, Anthony Quartuccio returns
to share conducting duties for Tosca.
Mr. Quartuccio's long history with OSJ
includes conducting productions of
La Cenerentola,
The Marriage of Figaro, The Elixir of Love,
Così fan tutte,
Lucia
di Lammermoor, Rigoletto, Roméo et Juliette, Madama
Butterfly, The Crucible, La bohème, Don Giovanni, Le
nozze di Figaro, Tosca, Carmen, The Flying Dutchman, Don Pasquale, Il trovatore, Falstaff and the world
premiere of The Tale of the Nutcracker.
Mr. Quartuccio is music director of the
South Valley Symphony and assistant conductor of the San Jose Chamber
Orchestra. He holds degrees in conducting from the Curtis Institute and
Santa Clara University, where he received an honorary Heritage
Foundation Achievement Award for the Arts. Mr. Quartuccio's conducting
and instrumental appearances include the Spokane Symphony, Cabrillo and
Brevard Festival orchestras, the Santa Cruz Symphony and the San
Francisco Symphony. |
