In the 2006 - 2007 season,
JONATHAN HODEL sang the role of Rodolfo (La bohème)
with the Saint Petersburg Opera. In November of 2007, Mr. Hodel travels to
Germany to perform in Verdi's Requiem with the Württenbergishe
Philharmonie.
Mr. Hodel returned to Asheville Lyric Opera during the 2005 - 2006
season to conduct performances of that company's Opera Gala, and to
sing the role of Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly) in spring 2006.
Mr. Hodel returned to OSJ in the
fall of 2005 to perform
the role of Judge Danforth in The Crucible. Previously,
Mr. Hodel shared conducting assignments for Die Fledermaus during the
2003 - 2004 season for Opera San José.
Other recent engagements for Mr.
Hodel included
the roles of Radames (Aïda) and Manrico (Il trovatore) for Monterey Opera,
the Duke (Rigoletto) for Bay Shore Lyric Opera, Don José
(Carmen) and Rodolfo (La
bohème) for Asheville Lyric Opera, and Rodolfo for
Hessisches-Staatstheater in Wiesbaden, Germany. While in Germany, he also
reprised the role of Manrico in Verdi's Il trovatore for the
Compagnia d'opera italiana di Milano international opera tour and
performed Mendelssohn's Lobgesang for the Württenbergishe
Philharmonie.
