Jason Detwiler as Papageno in Mozart’s The Magic Flute.

Opera San José is pleased to present Mozart Magic as its featured touring opera during the 2014-15 season. Narrated by Mozart himself, Mozart Magic  features four singers in costume, with a pianist, who perform arias and ensembles from several Mozart operas, including The Magic Flute, The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni and Così fan tutte. Condensed into a 30-minute one-act performance to fit your school’s schedule, students are introduced to the composer and his most famous operas as he reads letters to his wife, friends and colleagues. Q & A with the singers follows the performance.

The touring opera is appropriate for elementary as well as high school students. A study guide will be available prior to the performance to enable teachers to better prepare their students. One performance is available for $500 or two back-to-back performances for $650. To request a performance(s), please fill out this online form on our website. Questions?
