FINAL EVENING DRESS REHEARSALS
Students are invited to attend final evening dress rehearsals for the following mainstage operas during the 2014-15 season:
- Rigoletto (G. Verdi): Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014 @ 7:30 p.m.
- The Italian Girl in Algiers (G. Rossini): Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014 @ 7:30 p.m.
- Where Angels Fear to Tread (M. Weiser): Thursday, Feb. 5, 2015 @ 7:30 p.m.
- The Magic Flute (W. A. Mozart): Thursday, April 16, 2015 @ 7:30 p.m. FULL (please fill out online form to be placed on a waiting list.)
To request seats for final evening dress rehearsals please fill out an online form after July 14, 2014, or call Outreach Coordinator Lettie Smith at (408) 437-4464. To ensure that the maximum number of seats are available for students, please keep the number of adult chaperones to a minimum.
Final Evening Dress Rehearsals, which run approximately 3 hours, take place at the California Theatre located at 345 S. First Street in downtown San Jose. Rigoletto and The Italian Girl in Algiers will be sung in Italian with English supertitles; Where Angels Fear to Tread will be sung in English with English supertitles; The Magic Flute will be sung in German with English supertitles. Study guides are sent in advance to prepare students for the performance. Rigoletto and Where Angels Fear to Tread are recommended for students 6th grade and older; The Italian Girl in Algiers and The Magic Flute are recommended for 4th grade and older.
