Jessica Mariko Deardorff,
Mezzo-soprano

Jessica Mariko Deardorff makes her company debut as the Second Lady in the
company's 2007 - 2008 production of The Magic Flute.
Roles
performed recently by Ms. Deardorff include Mercedes (Carmen)
for Festival Opera and Maddalena (Rigoletto) with Townsend
Opera. Upcoming engagements include a performance in Summer 2008 as
Inez (Il trovatore) and Hermia (A Midsummer Night's Dream),
both with Festival Opera.
On the concert stage, Ms. Deardorff recently performed as the
contralto soloist in Vaughan William's Magnificat with the SF
Girls Chorus at Davies Symphony Hall.
Awards and accolades include top prize in the Henry and Maria Holt
Memorial Scholarship competition. Ms. Deardorff also was a finalist
and winner in the Western and Pacific Regional Finals of the
Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She holds a Bachelor of
Music in Vocal Performance from University of the Pacific Conservatory
of Music and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the
University of Arizona.
