David Lee Cuthbert
Lighting Designer
David Lee Cuthbert makes his
Opera San José as lighting designer during the 2007 - 2008 season for
Lucia di Lammermoor. Previous design credits for Mr. Cuthbert include
Billy Crystal's Broadway show 700 Sundays, Rabbit Hole, Moonlight
and Magnolias,The Piano Lesson, ART (Dean
Goodman Choice Award) and Hannah and Martin, all for the San
Jose Repertory Theater, and The Tempest, Much Ado About Nothing, King
Lear, As you Like It and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf for
Shakespeare Santa Cruz.
For the La Jolla Playhouse,
Mr. Cuthbert's designs were highlighted in An Evening with Billy Crystal,
The Burning Deck, I Think I Like Girls, A Feast of Fools and Diva.
At the Old Globe Theatre, his designs appeared in Hold Please,
Christmas on Mars, Lobby Hero, Rounding Third, Faith Healer and The
Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow.
Other companies for which
Mr. Cuthbert has created lighting designs include Sledgehammer Theatre,
Indiana Rep, San Diego Rep, South Coast Rep, The Group at Strasberg, PCPA
Theaterfest, The Magic Theatre, and many others. Internationally, Mr.
Cuthbert designed the 25th anniversary tour of Terminal,
directed by Joseph Chaikin, which premiered in Belgrade. |
