Auditions

Auditions are announced, by invitation, to those artists who have indicated their interest by sending us a résumé, and for whom there may be suitable roles.

To audition for Opera San José, send your professional résumé and headshot to
Artistic Administration, Opera San José, 2149 Paragon Drive, San José, CA 95131-1312. Audition tapes are welcome but not required. Résumés may be sent by email to siek@operasj.org.

Chorus Auditions: 

Auditions for the paid chorus positions during the 2008-09 season (Eugene Onegin, The Elixir of Love, Così  fan tutte and Carmen will take place

Saturday, May 10 (11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.)
Sunday, May 11 (1 p.m. - 5 p.m.)
Wednesday, May 14 (7 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
 

Please prepare one Aria or Art Song in Italian, French or Russian and provide a resume and headshot.
Note: The aria or art song should not exceed 5 minutes in length.

Supernumeraries: 

Opera San José is currently in need of actors, martial artists, and everyday people of all ages and sizes for supernumerary roles in current and future seasons.  Audition interviews must be conducted before selections will be made.
