Carlos Aguilar,

Third-year resident artist Carlos Aguilar returns during the 2007 - 2008
season to appear as Raimondo (Lucia di Lammermoor), The Bailiff
(Werther), Sparafucile (Rigoletto) and Sarastro (The Magic
Flute). Last season, Mr. Aguilar performed the roles of Frere Laurent
(Roméo et Juliette), Basilio (The Barber of Seville), Dr.
Grenville (La traviata) and the Bonze (Madama Butterfly) .
During the 2005 - 2006 season, Mr. Aguilar appeared as Reverend John
Hale (The Crucible), Count de Horn (A Masked Ball),
Colline (La bohème), and the Commendatore (Don Giovanni).
Other roles performed with OSJ include Morales (Carmen) during
the 2004 - 2005 season, and Nourabad in Bizet's The Pearl Fishers during Opera San José's
2003 - 2004 season.
Mr. Aguilar was first place winner in both the 2005 San Jose Opera Guild
and San Jose Woman's Club competitions.
