Marc Schreiner joins the resident ensemble in 2013-14, performing the roles of Fenton (Falstaff), the Witch (Hansel and Gretel) and Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni). In 2012-13, Mr. Schreiner appeared as Rodolfo (La bohème) with Fargo-Moorhead Opera and Orfée (Orphée et Eurydice) with Opera Memphis. Other roles performed recently include Peter Quint (Turn of the Screw) with Nashville Opera, Lysander (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) with Des Moines Metro Opera, Laurie (Little Women) and the Duke (Rigoletto) with Syracuse Opera, Narraboth (Salome) for Toledo Opera, Alfredo (La traviata) with Lake George Opera and Cassio (Otello) with Des Moines Metro Opera.
Recent concert appearances include Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra, and Handel’s Messiah and Haydn’s The Creation, both with the Austin Symphony.
A native of Rollingstone, Minnesota, Mr. Schreiner received his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Simpson College, and his Masters in Vocal Performance from the University of Houston.
