Anthony Quartuccio,
Conductor
|
During the 2006 - 2007 sesaon, Anthony Quartuccio
serves as conductor for Roméo et Juliette and shares conducting
duties in Madama
Butterfly. Receiving praise for his performances of The Crucible during the 2005 - 2006 season, Mr. Quartuccio
has also conducted OSJ's productions of La bohème, Don Giovanni, Le
nozze di Figaro, Tosca, Carmen, The Flying Dutchman, Don Pasquale, La Cenerentola,
Il trovatore, Falstaff and the world
premiere of The Tale of the Nutcracker.
Mr. Quartuccio is music director of the
South Valley Symphony and assistant conductor of the San Jose Chamber
Orchestra. He holds degrees in conducting from the Curtis Institute and
Santa Clara University, where he received an honorary Heritage
Foundation Achievement Award for the Arts. Mr. Quartuccio's conducting
and instrumental appearances include the Spokane Symphony, Cabrillo and
Brevard Festival orchestras, the Santa Cruz Symphony and the San
Francisco Symphony. |
