Upcoming
engagements for JOSEPH
MUIR in the 2006 - 2007 season include appearances with Florida
Grand Opera as the Messenger (Aida), Edmondo (Manon
Lescaut), 1st Philistine (Samson et Dalila), and a
cover of Levin in the world premiere of Anna Karenina.
Recent engagements in the 2005 - 2006
season included Count Almaviva (Il barbiere di
Siviglia) for Opera Plus, Javier in Torroba’s Zarzuela Luisa
Fernanda for the Mesquite Arts Center, and Alfredo (La traviata)
for Rimrock Opera. Mr. Muir later debuted with the Coeur d’Alene
Symphony as the tenor soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony
and concluded the season with concert appearances for the Lake George
Opera Guild after which he joined Glimmerglass Opera’s Young American
Artist Program.Other mainstage roles performed include El Remendado (Carmen),
Nathanael (Les Contes d'Hoffman) and Flavio (Norma)
with Ft. Worth Opera. Mr. Muir has also appeared with the Fort Worth Children's
Opera Tours as Tamino (Die Zauberflöte), Don Ramiro (La
Cenerentola), and Rinuccio (Gianni Schicchi). He has
performed as a soloist with the Mountainside Master Chorale both in
America and the United Kingdom, appeared with the Forth Worth
Symphony as part of their "Concerts in the Park" series, and
performed with the Seattle Opera Young Artist Program as Rodolfo in
their production of La bohème. |
