Kathleen Moss,
Mezzo-soprano

 

 

Kathleen Moss returns to Opera San José during the 2006 - 2007 to appear as Suzuki in Madama Butterfly. Previously seen as Lola in OSJ's 03 - 04 production of Cavalleria Rusticana, Ms. Moss has performed extensively throughout the Bay Area. Most recently, Ms. Moss appeared as the Second Lady (The Magic Flute) for San Francisco Lyric Opera and Livermore Valley Opera, Maddalena (Rigoletto) for Pocket Opera and Bianca (The Rape of Lucretia) for San Francisco Lyric Opera. Performances during 2007 include Pauline (Pique Dame) with West Bay Opera and Meg Page (Merry Wives of Windsor) for Pocket Opera.

Ms. Moss has also frequently performed with the Lamplighters, Cinnabar Opera and has been a resident artist in San Francisco Opera's program Interactive Opera.

Equally at home on the musical theater stage, Ms. Moss has performed with such companies as American Musical Theater of San Jose, TheatreWorks of Palo Alto, and Sacramento's Music Circus. She can be heard on the American original cast recording of The 3Musketeers with music by George Stiles.
