Amanda Mendon Jas makes her company debut with Opera San José as Kate Pinkerton (Madama Butterfly).  Previously, she was the cover for Donna Elvira in the company's 2006 - 2007 production of Don Giovanni.   Ms. Mendon Jas has also appeared as the Second Lady (Die Zauberflöte) with Cabrillo Stage and as the Aunt (Madama Butterfly) with Bayshore Lyric Opera.  Upcoming engagements include the title role in Dido and Aeneas with the Santa Cruz Chamber Orchestra in March of 2007.
