the 2006 - 2007 season, Zachary Gordin debuts with Opera San José in
the roles of Count Paris (Roméo et Juliette).
Recent career
highlights for Mr. Gordin include the World Premiere of Pido
Silencio by Loretta Notareschi with the Berkeley Contemporary
Chamber Players, Wilder in the World Premiere of Earthrise with
San Francisco Opera, Escamillo (Carmen) for San Francisco Lyric
Opera, and Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) for Center
Stage Opera in Los Angeles. Upcoming engagements include Mr. Gordin's
debut with Festival Opera as Angelotti in Tosca.
Among Mr. Gordin's many
accolades are: Winner of the Pacific Musical Society Competition,
Winner of the Bellini International Voice Competition, Winner of the
Ibla Grand Prize Baroque Music Competition, Winner of the East Bay
Opera League Vocal Competition, and Pacific Region Finalist for the
Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
