| Sonia Gariaeff
makes her company debut with Opera San José during the 2006 - 2007
as Stephano (Roméo et Juliette). Roles performed recently include Rosina (Il
barbiere di Siviglia) and Orlovsky (Die Fledermaus) with
Eugene Opera, Annio (La clemenza di Tito) and Rosina (Il
barbiere di Siviglia) with West Bay Opera, Smeton (Anna Bolena)
with Pocket Opera and Dorabella (Così fan tutte) with San
Francisco Lyric Opera. On the concert stage, Ms. Gariaeff has appeared as soloist in Stravinsky's Le Rossignol with the San Francisco Symphony, Beethoven's Trauer Kantate with the Carmel Bach Festival, and Sibelius' The Tempest with the SONOS Chamber Orchestra of New York. Ms. Gariaeff is a three-time District Finalist in the Metropolitan National Council Awards, a National Finalist in the Loren L. Zachary Competition, and Grand Prize Winner in the Carmel Music Society Vocal Competition. |
