Mezzo-soprano

MaryAnne Stanislaw appears as Rebecca Nurse in The Crucible during the 2005 - 2006 season. She made her Opera San José debut in the chorus of Il trovatore during the 2002 - 2003 season, and also appeared in OSJ's productions of Don Pasquale, Les Pêcheurs de perles, Le nozze di Figaro, Tosca and Der fliegende Holländer.

Most recently, Ms. Stanislaw appeared as Mistress of the Novices (Suor Angelica) with Berkeley Opera. For Townsend Opera Players, she appeared as the Mother (Hansel and Gretel), Mamma Lucia (Cavalleria rusticana) and Erda (Das Rheingold - condensed version).  On the concert stage, she has appeared with Golden Gate Opera, Townsend Opera Players and Martinez Opera.

Fluent in many languages, Ms. Stanislaw studied at the Conservatoire de Musique, Neuchâtel, Switzerland and has performed in Europe and Asia.
