Costume designer Elizabeth Poindexter
returns to OSJ during the 2005 - 2006 season to design costumes for
The Crucible.
Her past
costume design projects for the company include
Tosca, Falstaff, Cenerentola,
Faust, Eugene Oñegin,
Les Pêcheurs
de perles,
L'elisir d'amore, Gianni Schicci, Suour Angelica, Tartuffe, Vanessa,
Hotel Eden, and West
of Washington Square.
Other costume
design credits include work for American Musical Theatre of San
Jose, California Shakespeare Festival, San Jose Repertory Theatre,
Western Stage Company (Salinas, CA), The Alley Theatre (Houston, TX)
and The José
Limon Dance Company (New York, NY).
For the past
26 years Ms. Poindexter has been a member of the design faculty of
the Televison, Radio , Film and Theatre Department of San José
State University. Her university design credits number over 150
productions including dance (modern and jazz), video and film,
musical theatre, opera, as well as classic theatre repertory. She
is an active member
of the Costume Commission of the United States Institute for Theatre
Technology and a founding member of the Bay Area Costumers'
Alliance.
