A favorite with Opera San José audiences, J. Raymond Meyers returns this season to sing the role of Giles Cory in The Crucible. Mr. Meyers was recently seen as Alfred in Die Fledermaus during the 2003 - 2004 season. A multi-talented artist, J. Raymond Meyers is well known and highly regarded as a consummate performer of character and "leggiero" tenor roles. He performs extensively in concert, recital and opera. Recent appearances have included Beppe (Pagliacci), Basilio/Curzio (Le nozze di Figaro) and Goro (Madama Butterfly) with Santa Barbara Opera. Other recent engagements include the role of the Witch in Sacramento Opera's 2004 production of Hänsel and Gretal.
