Luis Gonzalez,
Tenor

Luis Gonzalez makes his company debut with Opera San José during the 2005 - 2006 season as Ezekiel Cheever in The Crucible and Amelia's servant in A Masked Ball. Previous appearances with the company include last season's productions of Le nozze di Figaro, Tosca, Carmen, and, most recently, Die Fliegende Holländer.

A recent graduate of San José State University’s School of Music & Dance, Mr. Gonzalez has been featured there as both recitalist and concert soloist. In addition, his participation in the university's Opera Workshop (2003 - 2004) yielded critical acclaim for his eclectic performances. He has sung for such conductors as Maestro George Cleve and Robert Wood, as well as numerous concerts with Dr. William Hall and Prof. Elena Sharkova.

Mr. Gonzalez begins his graduate studies at San José State this fall where he is a student of Dr. David Rohrbaugh.
