Katherine Chapin
makes her Opera San José debut as Ann Putnam in The Crucible,
having last been seen as a member of the OSJ chorus for two seasons,
and as a featured performer in last season’s Le nozze di Figaro.
Ms. Chapin’s previous roles include Lydia (Dorothy), Louka
(The Chocolate Soldier), Allan-A-Dale (Robin Hood) and
Mètella (La Vie Parisienne) for Lyric Theatre of San Jose
(formerly the Gilbert & Sullivan Society). Her musical theatre
credits include Dolly Tate (Annie Get Your Gun), ‘Toots’
Doublemen (1940’s Radio Hour) and Jack’s Mom (Into the
Woods), among others.
Ms. Chapin is a
featured soloist throughout California, and a regular soloist at St.
Nicholas Parish in Los Altos, California.
