Jillian Boye,
Soprano

 

 

 

 

 


Soprano Jillian Boye returns to Opera San José during the 2005 - 2006 season to perform the roles of Mary Warren (The Crucible) and Oscar (Un ballo in maschera). Miss Boye made her debut with the company in the 2004 - 2005 season as Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro). Other appearances include Amelia’s Servant (Un ballo in maschera) with West Bay Opera and participation in the San Jose State University Opera Workshop.

On the concert stage, Miss Boye has been featured as the soprano soloist in Orff’s Carmina Burana as well as the world premiere of Nielsen's Out of Africa.

In April 2004, Miss Boye was awarded the grand prize in the San Jose Opera Guild Vocal Competition. She also received the Missy Belton Memorial Scholarship (2003 - 2007) as well as the Beverly Compton Memorial Scholarship (2003 - 2007).
